Process for improving the quality of static or flowing inland waters by incorporation of air and/or O2 is characterised in that O2-depleted water and/or a silt suspension is withdrawn from the body of water, mixed with biochemically active substances and/or microorganisms, and returned to the body of water. Also claimed is appts. for carrying out the above process, comprising a floating device with a drive (2) that is adjustable in direction and speed.
