This instrument comprises a sensor unit (2) having displacement measuring means which are detachably arranged between the crank arms (1a) of the crank shaft (1) so to measure the displacement of the intervals D, rotational angle measuring means for measuring the rotational angle of the crank arms (a) and storage means for storing data on the displacements of the intervals D measured at every rotational angle measured by the rotational angle measuring means, and a processing unit (8) for receiving from the sensor unit (2) the displacement data and outputting the displacement data of the crank arms (1a) at a given angle of the crank shaft (1).
