The switch includes a control head (12) which has a rocker (24) oscillating about a second axis (A2) parallel to a first axis (A1) of the drive (16). A slider (25) is mounted to move linearly perpendicular to the second axis but in the same plane. A pull (22) is attached to the slider whose motion is opposed by a return spring. An indexer (27), which engages (56,57) with the slider, is mounted to pivot on the slider about a third axis (A3) parallel to the second. It has two control facets (28A,28B) parallel to the third axis making a dihedral angle to join with two similar opposing rocker control facets (30A,30B) acting alternately on one and then the other.
