The hull reinforcement or framing system is used on a folding boat. It uses a number of rods (1) in place of transverse or longitudinal frames to hold the flexible outer skin of the boat in place. The rods are straight, e.g. flat steel strips, and they may be fitted in the direction of the general or of the external surface. They are connected to the outer skin.
