In a measuring probe for a gas to be measured, with a preferably metal housing, a sensor chip in said housing with the actual sensor at one end and, at the other end, an electric terminal electrically connected to the sensor and at least one electrically conductive contact track preferably leading to the sensor, the sensor chip has the actual sensor at one end region facing an inlet in the housing for the measurement gas and the electric and/or mechanical terminal is secured directly or indirectly to the contact track by laser beam welding.
