A guard for a power take-off shaft 10 of a tractor comprises an inverted U-shaped member 20 which is detachably fitted to the tractor in such a manner that it cannot be removed in a direction parallel to the axis of the power takeoff shaft 10. A flange member 17 is secured by bolts 16 to the tractor and has an upper flange 22, carrying a vertical tab 24, and side flanges 26, 27, carrying lateral tabs 29, 30. The guard member 20 has a slot 40, which is adapted to engage the tab 24, and side slots 41, which are adapted to engage slots 31, 32 in lateral tabs 29, 30. The guard may be locked in position by inserting a pin 42 in a hole 25 in the tab 24. |
