PURPOSE:To make a recording head replaceable and to eliminate a requirement for a non-discharge recovery mechanism of liquid droplets by providing portions to be caught in front and in the rear of the bottom portion of the recording head and by providing hook portions on a carriage side that engages with the portions to be caught. CONSTITUTION:A portion 1c to be caught, pulls 1d and 1e are provided at the edges of this side of recording heads 1a and 1b that have an identical construction with the only difference in colors of liquids being used. A carriage 2 is provided with a hook portion 2a and the recording heads 1a and 1b are interlinked with the hook portion 2a at the portion 1c to be caught, and the heads are fixed to the carriage 2 in such a manner as to be replaceable. Multicolor recording is feasible. |
