The electrical connection block includes a conducting connection piece (3) immobilised in a seating (4) provided within an insulating housing (5). The housing may be formed by the assembly of two complementary half shells, for example a base and a cover. The connection piece (3) includes a slot (6) for stripping and retaining the core of the electrical conductor. The slot is parallel sided, with an insulation stripping mouth (8) opening at one end. The shape of the connection piece is achieved by folding a flat piece of metal, and tapering the edges in order to form the cutting and retaining edges (9).
