PURPOSE:To contrive a multi purpose use of a saccharide-containing maize capable of being harvested in a short period of time without selecting land for multiple purpose by squeezing a saccharide-containing maize, producing a syrup, a liquor or an alcohol from the squeezed solution, making the lees after squeezed into a feed for livestock. CONSTITUTION:First, a saccharide-containing maize growing rapidly, containing a saccharide in a squeezed solution in a maturation period, is harvested and squeezed. Then the prepared lees after squeezed are used as a feed as they are or inoculated with lactic acid bacteria and made into a storage feed for a silage. On the other hand, the squeezed solution is concentrated to give a syrup or fermented to give a fermented liquor, a distilled liquor or after fermentation the fermented solution is distilled to partially collect an alcohol. In the case of using a saccharide-containing maize by second reaping, a saccharide-containing maize of first reaping is squeezed and the squeezed solution and its lees are used as mentioned above. A saccharide- containing maize having a higher dextrose equivalent among a saccharide-containing maize of second reaping is squeezed and a saccharide-containing maize having a lower dextrose equivalent is preferably used as a feed as it is. |
