PURPOSE:To obtain a high sensitivity thermal recording material having excellent water resistance, heat resistance and light resistance, and long life of color developing layer coating solution by using as a developer of the material 4- hydroxy-4'isopropyxydiphenylsulfone. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material comprises a thermal color developing layer containing leuco dye, developer and sensitizer on a support, wherein as the developer, 4-hydroxy-4'isopropyxydiphenylsulfone is used, as the sensitizer, one of oxalic di(P-methylbenzyl), oxalic (P-chlorobenzyl) and oxalic dibenzyl is used. Further, as an assistant, one of dihydroxybenzophenone, 4,4'- dihydroxydiphenylsulfone and 2,2'dimethyl-4,-4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone is contained. |
