PURPOSE:To provide a lead spring for a vehicle wherein friction between leaves is increased to improve drive stability by obtaining high damping performance at high loading time and further this condition can be realized without impairing damping performance in an ordinary loading condition. CONSTITUTION:In a lead spring 10, a bell ring eye type eye part 16 is provided in a lengthwise direction end part of the first lead 12, and a curved part 20 is provided corresponding to the eye part 16 in the second lead 14. When a loading weight of a vehicle is increased, a relative position between the first/ second leaves 12, 14 is changed according to this increasing weight, and the eye part 16 is brought into contact with the curved part 20, to increase a contact load acting therebetween. Accordingly, friction between the first/second leaves 12, 14 is increased, thus to improve drive stability by obtaining high damping performance. |
