PURPOSE:To prevent meandering of connected chairs and to rapidly connect these chairs by setting both front ends of front and rear pawl members to be loosely fitted into engaging recesses of receiving members formed at front leg rods and rear leg rods to such a shape that their one-side facing each other rise at a perpendicular or nearly perpendicular angle. CONSTITUTION:The front leg rod 2A and rear leg rod 3A of the chair are projectingly provided with the U-shaped receiving members 7 respectively and the front leg rod 2B and rear leg rod 3B on the other side are projectingly provided with the pawl members 8 respectively. Both ends 7a thereof are inserted into mounting holes in the central parts of the leg rods 2A, 3a and are welded to form the slit engaging recesses 71. The pawl members 8 are formed by downward bending front ends 8a of an approximately triangular shape in side view and welding base ends 8b to the outside surfaces of the leg rods 2B, 3B. Consequently, not only the front leg rods 2A, 2B but the rear leg rods 3A, 3B are connected to each other and, therefore, the connected chairs are prevented from meandering. The pawl members 8 are loosely fitted to the receiving members 7 to permit rough dropping of the front ends 8a into the engaging recesses 71 to engage bath. |
