The bodywork comprises a principal chassis (42) having a front part sloping downwards and rearwards. A front tube supports a steering shaft carrying a front wheel. A rear part of the chassis extends horizontally rearwards from the front part and a pair of side chassis (44) connected to it divaricate from it and slope upwards and rearwards. The front ends of the side chassis are connected obliquely to the principal chassis at a distance from its rear end. The rear end of the principal chassis is connected to the side chassis by a strutted structure. This triangular structure is formed by a cross member (50), the principal and side chassis. An identical structure is formed by the front parts of the side chassis, the cross member and the principal chassis. A battery can be located in the space formed by the principal and side chassis and the cross member.
