PURPOSE:To obtain a diazo color developing thermal recording medium having small skin fog by incorporating a specific diazo compound in a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording layer contains a diazo compound represented by the formula I and/or II. In the formulae I and II, X is 1-9C alkylene group, or the formula III, IV or V. In the formulae III-V, R1 and R2 are hydrogen atom, chlorine atom, methyl group, ethyl group, methoxy group, or ethoxy group. Y is epoxy group, thio group, sulfonyl group, carbonyl group, carbonite group or 1-9C alkylene group. |
