Alpha-alumina oxide comprises single-crystal particles, which are homogeneous, do not comprise inside any crystal seed, with octahedron or higher polyhedron shape and rate of D/H in the scope between 0.5 to 3.0, where D is maximal diameter of particles parallel with hexagonal surface of the grate in hexagonal narrow grate of these particles and H is a diameter vertical to this hexagonal surface of the grate, with the average numeral diameter of the particles in the scope from 5 to 30 um, sodium content, defined as Na2O, is lower than 0.05% wt., the purity of alumina oxide is at least 99.90 % wt. or higher. Also is disclosed the use of alpha-alumina oxide, defined as raw materials for producing the single-crystals or as raw materials for producing highly pure sintered products. |
