<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a particulate and NOX from being exhausted into the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Heaters 18a, 18b and particulate filters 19a, 19b with NOX absorption agent are arranged in a pair of exhaust gas paths 16a, 16b branched from an exhaust pipe. The inlet of either of the exhaust gas paths 16a, 16b is closed by a flow-path selector valve 17. The heaters 18a or 18b in the exhaust path 16a or 16b of which the inlet is closed, is turned on, and secondary air is supplied from secondary air supply ports 24a, 24b to burn a particulate, and then NOX exhausted from the NOX absorption agent is recirculated to an engine.</p> |
