PURPOSE:To provide a rolling mill by which trouble-free operation is enabled, a rolling method for the rolling mill and a method for operating the rolling mill by specifying operating conditions required for stably operating a work roll cross mill. CONSTITUTION:The setting of a cross angle of a work roll and the control during rolling are executed in the region of the rotational speed of roll or rolling sped of >=50m/min and the setting of the cross angle and the control during rolling are executed by inversely setting the upper and lower cross angles in the range of 0-2.5 deg.. And, the work roll cross mill is selected in accordance with the max. rolling load. In this way, the work roll cross mill is stably operated without troubles, the capability of the mill is displayed and high-quality products are obtained.
