<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping of voltage of a battery power source caused by excessive current and utilize the power source efficiently by dividing a plurality of heating elements into blocks in a manner of uniformizing the power consumption at the time of driving respective blocks when a plurality of heating elements are divided into blocks of specified number and driven block after block. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of heating elements of a thermal head 154 driven based on the printing information, a battery 64 for supplying the driving power for the heating elements and a driving means 70 for dividing a plurality of heating elements into at least two blocks and driving block after block are provided. At that time, a plurality of heating elements are divided into blocks by the block forming means in a manner of uniformizing the power consumption of at least two blocks respectively at the time of driving. Thus the voltage drop of a battery power source caused by excessive current can be prevented by uniformizing the power consumption required for printing and the power source can be utilized efficiently.</p> |
