PURPOSE:To obtain a treating agent for synthetic fibers excellent in heat resistance, high pressure resistance, softness and lubricating property, hardly causing yarn breakage, fluffing and dust, etc., and capable of providing treated cord having high strength after treatment of adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of this treating agent for synthetic fibers is to occupy >=90wt.% of a mixture based on whole treating agent. The mixture is obtained by mixing (A) 50-70wt.% of a divalent ester compound having 500-1000 molecular weight and not containing an unsaturated bond with (B) 15-35wt.% of a nonionic activating agent having 4000-8000 molecular weight and obtained by reacting an ethylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol with a monocarboxylic acid and a dicarboxylic acid, (C) 10-20wt.% of an alkylene oxide adduct of a higher alcohol having 1000-2000 molecular weight and (D) 0.5-2.0wt.% of a hindered phenol-based antioxidant. |
