The generator comprises; a first filter(2) converting a non-return-to-zero type digital data signal into a double interval raised-cosine pulse signal; a second filter(4) converting a non-return-to-zero type digital data signal into a single interval raised-cosine pulse signal; an attenuator(5) attenuating the output signal from the second filter(4); an adder-subtractor(3) superimposing the signal generated from the first filter(2) and the signal controlled at the attenuator(5); and a third filter(6) controlling the occupied bandwidth of the superimposed signal. A modulator using the generator has a good error probability, and a lower adjacent channel interference in non-liner channel.
