Electrolyte for an electrical storage cell containing lithium. This electrolyte consists of a solution in an organic solvent such as propylene carbonate, either of a metal salt such as LiClO4 and of a fluoro surface-active agent such as C8F17SO3Li or C8F17SO3N(C2H 5)4, or of a fluoro surface-active agent in the form of metal salt, for example C8F17SO3Li.
