The electronic cheque is generated and processed in computers, and is transmitted electronically between the computers, adjusting values in two accounts. The computer has stored unique identifying information on the sending account holder. The sender enters their identification, which is validated before the transaction can proceed. The transaction data is then entered and the accounts adjusted. The transaction procedure accepts the authorisation, records the order data, generates the order, notifies the availability, confirms the order, locates the destination and transfers the order for assessment at the receiving end.
