Plastics laminate with longitudinal and transverse load bearing properties

The laminate has an inner load bearing layer (12a) with honeycomb structure between two flat surface layers (14,16) which are bonded to the high and low points of the honeycomb. The honeycomb cells can have a range of geometrical shapes. The three layers are each made as continuous strips. Extrusion, forming of the load bearing layer (12a), and bonding of the surface layers (14,16) can be done in one mfg. cycle. The load bearing layer (12a) can also comprise a central flat layer with the honeycomb symmetrically arranged on each side.
