The burn-in overcoat medium is produced directly during the spray application. The basic resin component and the hardener component are separately melted, mixed in the melted state, and the obtained melt is directly sprayed in the direction of the substrate. The droplets obtained through the spraying before coming into contact with the substrate are cooled below the glass transition temp. of the obtained mixt. The droplets are cooled after they have attained ball form in the still molten state. The basic resin component and the hardener component are melted at such temps. that viscosities of the smelt from 10 to 10 to-the-power-6 m Pa are achieved.
