<p>Deburring process consisting in placing the part to be trimmed (50) in an essentially closed chamber (10) containing a large number of small balls (30), generating by means of a sonotrode (20) a powerful ultrasonic field so that the balls impact the part to be deburred along its exposed surface, and holding the ultrasonic field during a predetermined period sufficient to eliminate the burrs without affecting the integrity and state of the part's surface. The device for carrying out said process (100) comprises an essentially closed chamber (10) in which are inserted a predetermined quantity of calibrated spherical balls (30), a cover (22) to which is attached the part to be deburred (50), a sonotrode (20) arranged to generate a powerful ultrasonic field with the aid of a generator (11) and a transducer (12), and means for varying the vibration amplitude of the sonotrode (20) from approximately 20 to 100 micrometers.</p> |
