The air is delivered or extracted via an opening in the outside coating of a flat roof, wall, etc. The equipment has a connecting component (5) with opening (6) for a pipe (7) etc. To allow welding or gluing of the component to the covering material (3) surrounding the opening, it is coated with sealing material such as plastics, bitumen, tarred paper, etc. The component can be secured to a baseplate (10) with an opening for the air on the inside of the roof, the material covering the latter being clamped between them. The opening in the component can be tapped to allow a pipe, etc. to be screwed into it. A closing plate can be provided for the opening, this being interchangeable with the connecting component.
