In vitro transformation complex (A) comprises /- 1 each of: (a) DNA binding or encapsulating protein (I); (b) DNA sequence (II) that facilitates integration into a plant genome; and (c) any selected DNA sequence (III) coupled to, or integrated within, (II). Also claimed are: (1) transformed plant cells, contg. a DNA sequence from (A); and (2) plants (or their descendants) contg. such cells.
