The insulating material is a fire protection mass (2) in a fluid state which fills the hollow space. In the event of a fire, it gasifies, with absorbtion of latent heat. The inner and outer skin (18,16) may perforated, conducting away the freed gas. In front of the perforated wall surface an additional cladding is fitted. The cladding consists of trapezoidal plates (36). The outer skin (16) is perforated and is clad with trapezoidal plates and the floor (14) and the ceiling of the container may both have a projection (38) for screening the lower and upper ends of the trapezoidal plates. The floor and the ceiling of the container have an inner skin and an outer skin with a hollow space between them filled with fire protection mass.
