The device provides data and/or energy transmission. It has a primary side and a secondary side connector part (1,2). At least one transmitter (3) is provided on the primary side and at least one receiver (4) is provided on the secondary side to allow contact-free transmission. Preferably, the transmitter (3) is an inductive primary component (5) and the receiver (4) is an inductive secondary component (6). The primary (5) and secondary (6) components may form a transformer by connection of the connector part (1,2). The transformer core is preferably made of a non-electric material such as weak ferrite.
