Sleeve portion for an optical fibre plug connector

The socket part (1) contains a socket (2) whose socket openings (5, 5') are covered by movable protective flaps (6, 6'). The protective flaps are subjected to spring prestress and are pushed from the closing position to the opening position when a plug pin (3) is plugged into the socket (2). The protective flaps prevent any light from leaving the socket opening after a plug has been removed from the socket part. The protective flaps are pivotably mounted between an inner socket housing (8) and an outer socket housing (9).
