The equipment has grab arms (16,17) each having a rotary grip dish (28,29) particularly at their free ends. These can turn in bearings (40,41) on a transverse axis (42). The bearings can pivot in the arms on axes at right angles to the transverse one and parallel to those of the arm bearings (32,33). The dish and arm bearings can be coupled by rods and levers (46-51) so that the axes of rotation of the dishes coincide with the transverse axis (42). The arms can curve through approximately 90 deg. from their bearings to the dishes at their free ends.
