The power fixing process involves exerting the axial force of a press ring (7) with axial boring (8) on a conical seat (6) directly on the hub (4). The firmness of the fixing is checked (manually, electronically or by sensors) by measuring the axial pressing track of the press ring. The hub is made with the conical seat on it. This seat carries the press ring. There is a bolt (11) with head (10) by which the hub is screwed to the end of the shaft. Since there is no need to heat the hub before fitting it to the shaft, it can be centred with greater precision, and less stress is exerted on it.
