A switched illumination device for a surgical microscope used in ophthalmic surgery is described, which is equipped with a light source (1), a collector lens system (2), a radiant field stop (field lens iris, field diaphragm) (3), optical deflecting elements (6, 9, 10), further lenses (5) and a main objective (7). Via the deflecting elements (6, 9, 10) and the lenses (5), the radiant field stop (3) is imaged through the main objective (7) onto the eye of the patient which is to be examined, into the object plane (8). Switched means are provided in the illuminating beam path (19), which project the lamp filament (coil) of the light source (1; 22) via the lenses (5), the optical deflecting elements (6, 9, 10) and the main objective (7) onto the eye of the patient which is to be examined, into the object plane (8). <IMAGE> |
