The invention consists in eliminating the two mushroom- head valves in a 4-stroke internal combustion engine, with conical cylindrical intermittently rotating valves having axial displacement that makes it possible to eliminate the contact between the stationary head and the conical rotary valves and, consequently, the seizing between them. The system enables linear and large- diameter intake and exhaust lines, enabling flow velocities greater than those of present-day engines.
