PURPOSE: To improve temperature stability of a Hall element simply and effectively by using a zener diode as a compensation element and constituting a temperature compensation circuit together with a tracing amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A zener diode DZ is connected with a plus terminal of a tracing amplifier A through a temperature compensation potentiometer WT, and an output terminal of the tracing amplifier A is connected with a current control terminal of a Hall element H. A temperature compensation current generated from the zener diode DZ is sent to the current control terminal of the Hall element H through the tracing amplifier A. Since temperature coefficient of this current acts in reverse to temperature coefficient of a current generated in the Hall element H, it is possible to obtain a proper compensation current by adjusting the temperature compensation potentiometer WT, reach further a favorable condition, and suppress the effects of temperature of an output voltage Vad of the Hall element H to the minimum extent. |
