<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electric water heater which enables to extend the service life of a temperature-flow control valve. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a hot-water storage tank in which hot water produced is stored and a wax valve 11 designed to work in such a manner that when the temperature of hot water heated by an electric heater 12 provided inside reaches a prescribed point the valve opens and discharges the hot water. This electric water heater is equipped with a heating tube 10 provided to an outlet 10A in the upper part, a lower pipe 3 which connects the lower part of the hot-water storage tank to the lower part of the heating tube 10, and an upper pipe 2 which connects the outlet 10A of the heating tube 10 to the upper part of the hot-water storage tank. The distance A between the wax valve 11 and the electric heater is so set as to confine the movement of the valve, when it shifts from closure to an open state, to a specific distance.</p> |
