PURPOSE:To fill a hollow article with foamable thermosetting liquid filler while applying air pressure to the outer face of the joint of the hollow article, thereby preventing the leak of filler through the joint, eliminating the sealing operation, and improving the productivity. CONSTITUTION:The lower mold 19a is provided with an air path 21 along the joint 15, 15' of a hollw article 10, and the air path 21 is connected with an air source 22 through a pipe 33 and a connector 32. About 10 mm aq of air pressure is applied to the air path by the air source from just before the introduction of the filler into the article to the end of the cream time of the foamable filler. It is ascertained by t preliminary test that the filler does not leak through the joint under the pressure applied. By this process, the article can be filled with the foam without leak even when the top plate 16 is not sealed with a sealing tape. |
