PURPOSE:To increase transmission power of a radio base station more than that of each cordless telephone set with transmission power set small so as to allow lots of the cordless telephone sets to be used thereby allowing the communication of each slave set when the slave set of the cordless telephone set is carried for a comparatively long distance. CONSTITUTION:A radio base station 103 is connected to any of subscriber circuits 106, 107, 109 and the transmission power of the radio base station is selected higher than that of a master set of a cordless telephone set 101 so that its radio zone 105 covers a radio zone 105 of the cordless telephone set 101, and a communication frequency of the radio base station 103 is selected differently from a communication frequency of the cordless telephone set 101. Furthermore, a slave set 101b of the cordless telephone set 101 is provided with a means using an identifier the same as an identifier for communication with a master set 101a of the cordless telephone set 101 with the communication frequency of the radio base station and making communication with higher transmission power and also with a means executing a communication start procedure with the master set 101a of the cordless telephone set 101 to which the slave set belongs in the case of dialing and executing a communication start procedure with the radio base station 103 when the communication with the master set is not available. |
