PURPOSE: To provide a memory programmable controller for making an extremely quick control process possible and a method for making such programming possible. CONSTITUTION: In this memory programmable controller especially for a wrapping and labelling machine provided with many input terminals 8 and output terminals 9 for connecting process control elements, a sensor or an operation terminal for instance, at least one logic module 10 provided with internal connection for connecting at least one output terminal AO to the corresponding input terminal EO is provided. In the operation method of the controller, at least one input signal is read into the logic module 10 and is also processed there so as to output an output signal corresponding to the input signal from the logic module 10.
