PURPOSE: To provide a method for forming a picture for removing unnecessary matters from a drum surface and simultaneously forming a uniform liquid intermediate transferring layer on the drum surface. CONSTITUTION: This is a picture forming method for forming a liquid layer 12 functioning as an intermediate transferring face on the supporting face of a drum or the like, forming a picture on the exposed surface of the liquid layer 12, bringing the surface of a recording medium into contact with the exposed surface of the liquid layer 12 and transferring the picture to a recording medium 28. The medium in which new liquid for the liquid layer 12 is immersed is brought into contact with the liquid layer 12 so that liquid is supplied to the liquid layer 12, and unnecessary matters are removed from the liquid layer 12. Also, a plate-shaped body is brought into contact with the liquid layer 12 so that the liquid layer 12 is formed with uniform thickness. Thus, the quality of the output picture is improved. |
