PURPOSE:To provide a developing device provided with a sealing member excellent in operability by a user, capable of completely achieving sealing performance even when impact is exerted, having small load on a developing sleeve and being proof to long-term use. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic member 4d' is arranged by leaving a specified gap between the outer peripheral surfaces of both ends of the developing sleeve 4a and the member 4d', and NS poles are multiply magnetized in a peripheral direction at a part opposed to the inner peripheral surface of the member 4d' at both ends of a magnet 4b incorporated in the developing sleeve 4a. Thus, magnetic field is generated in the gap between the member 4b' and the magnet 4b, and a magnetic brush is constituted along dense magnetic flux running through the gap so as to prevent developer from flowing out to the outside. |
