<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the fabrication of a casing and to make it easier to clean a flat surface by designing a continuous extrusion forming the casing to receive a drive and a driving motor, and retaining the driving motor, the drive, and a pump head therein. CONSTITUTION: In this two-stage pump 1 in which the diaphragm 4a of a pump head 4 disposed on each side along the axial direction of a driving motor 2 is driven for reciprocation by a drive device 3 comprising a crank mechanism having a crank pin 3a, a pump casing 5 is formed by an extrusion 6 of an inverted U shaped cross section which extends generally throughout the length of the pump casing 5. The driving motor 2, the drive device 3, and the pump head 4 are disposed in the continuous extrusion 6, and the driving motor 2 and the pump head 4 in particular are secured to the U-shaped transverse web 4 of the continuous extrusion 6. The outer surface 7 of the U leg 8 of the extrusion 6 is generally flattened to enable the casing 5 to be cleaned easily.</p> |
