PURPOSE:To surely insert a ring member with a minimum widening amount in a device which inserts the ring member into a small diameter portion of a base and fits thereto, the ring having a cut portion and a substantially C- shaped section. CONSTITUTION:A device of composed of a base 1, a substantially conical truncated widening jig 2, an inserting jig 3, and a driving means 4. A ring member 6 held by the widening jig 2 is pressed by the inserting jig 3 along the widening jig 2, so that the ring member 6 is widened and fitted to a small diameter portion 51. Pressing force of the inserting jig 3 is transduced to elastic force through widening of the ring member 6. The ring member 6, being widened while self-regulating the widening amount through abutting the widening jig 2 due to its elastic force, is prevented from being excessively widened with certainty. |
