PURPOSE:To compress animation picture data in real time. CONSTITUTION:A video equipment receiving a command from a computer sends animation picture data to a compressor 2. The animation picture compressor 2 receiving the data uses an A/D converter 22 to apply A/D-conversion to the data and the converted data are fed to a graphics controller 23. The graphics controller 23 used a frame memory 24 to expand the data, which are displayed on a display device through a display connector 25. The animation picture data in the frame memory 24 are transferred to a compression chip 26 by the graphics controller 23. The animation picture compression chip 26 compresses the received data in real time and transfers the data to a computer through a bus connector 27. The computer stores the compressed data in a storage device.
