PURPOSE: To store heat in a heat storage cell up to the whole heat storage capacity in a short time by adjusting gap thickness and cell thickness such that a latent heat storage apparatus discharges heat from heat storage temperature at a specific heat dissipation speed and disposing a free grid element such that a turbulent flow is produced at a flow rate of cooling water corresponding to the heat dissipation speed. CONSTITUTION: A gap space 6 has the thickness of 1 to 3 mm, and a latent heat storage cell 4 has the thickness of 5 to 8 mm, and further a set of the latent heat storage cells 4 have heat storage capacity of at least 400 W/h upon heat storage temperature of at least 70 deg.C. Each spacer grid 5 includes a grid element 9 adjoining to the latent heat storage cell 4 extending in the direction of cooling water, and a free grid element 10 intersecting the former element 9. Hereupon, the gap thickness and the cell thickness are adjusted each other such that the latent heat storage apparatus dissipates heat stored therein at the heat dissipation speed of at least 100 W/min and is disposed such that a turbulent flow is produced with the free grid element 10. As a result, the heat storage cell is stored with heat to the whole heat storage capacity in a short time. |
