PURPOSE:To lengthen the discharge period of an ozone generator, and to gener ate a large quantity of ozone in a power for the ozone generator, which has a power rectifier section and power inverter section connected to the DC side of the power rectifier section through a DC reactor and in which the output voltage of the power inverter section is applied to an generating electrode for a silent discharge ozone generator. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit consisting of a diode 11 having shown polarity for charging peak voltage, a transistor TR0 and a diode 12 having shown polarity for preventing reverse currents is connected in parallel with a DC reactor 2 while a capacitor 13 is connected between the common node of the diode 11 and the transistor TR0 and the negative-side outside of the power rectifier section 1. When the transistor TR0 is on-controlled only for a fixed period at the time of the communication of a power inverter section 3, an ozone generator 5 is supplied with the charging charges of the capacitor 13, the inflow currents of an ozone generating electrode are increased, a non-discharge period is shortened, and a discharge period is lengthend. |
