PURPOSE:To automatically change a page number addition position to another proper position by providing a means which compares a specified stitching position with the page number addition position and then changes the page number addition position to another proper position when the both are on the same side. CONSTITUTION:A document expansion part 13, a page adding processing part 16, a print control part, and a printer are a means which adds page numbers on the basis of page number addition information stored in a page number addition information part 19 and prints document data stored in a document format information part 17. Further, an input device and a stitching position information part 20 are a stitching position specifying means which specifies one of the top and bottom, and right and left sides of a form as the stitching position of a document; and the page number adding processing part 16 compares the stitching position, specified by the input device and stitching position information part 20, with the page number addition position based upon the page number addition information of the page addition information part 19 when the document data are printed. When both the positions are on the same side, the page number addition position can be changed to another proper position. |
