<p>PURPOSE:To provide an error controller for a transmission frame by which an efficient error correction is performed for random errors and cell loss, the delay is reduced and further the reliability is improved. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a buffer memory 6 for storing the data of (p) blocks for L cells while dividing data corresponding to N symbols into (p) pieces and defining them as one block when the information quantity of NXL is defined as the unit of the transmission frame, coding circuit 4 for coding the data for the unit of (p) blocks in a certain direction different from a transmitting direction, and cell circuit 8 for generating a transmitting cell by making the cells of (p) blocks correpsonding to (N) symbols into selected cells. Further, a counter is provided to apply a cell identifier to the head of the cell in the transmitting direction, the cell identifier is added to each cell, and the data are transmitted while exchanging one part with the coded cells as needed. Moreover, an error inspecting code generating means is added as well.</p> |
