<p>PURPOSE:To provide a connector for a printed wiring board by which coplanariry of lead parts of a large number of SMT type contacts can be easily obtained and which has high connecting reliability and stability and by which space reduction and thinning can be attained. CONSTITUTION:A large number of SMT type contacts 7, 7 are individually separately arranged in an insulating housing 2, and lead parts 11 of the contacts extend to an installing surface 2a of the insulating housing 2, and are connected by soldering 17 to conductor patterns 16 formed on a printed wiring board 15. In a connector for this printed wiring board, the lead parts 11 are formed of plating layers 10 applied to the installing surface 2a of the insulating housing 2, and the pin contacts 7 inserted in and held by the insulating housing 2 are electrically connected to the lead parts 11 formed of the plating layers 10.</p> |
