PURPOSE: To provide a pin type dual-function fastener having a pin tail which can be reused as a separate fastener after it is cut-off. CONSTITUTION: This pin type dual-function fastener is used for fixing a plurality of workpieces with each other, having a pin tail 17 which is cut off from the mounting part of the fastener after the fastener is mounted, and which is then used as a welding stud bolt. The cut-off pin tail 17 is welded by a welding power source 37 to a panel 36 so as to serve as a welding stud bolt.
